June 2010 (Podcast Era)

Ned, Fitz and company had just finished watching the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals, when Ned mentioned to Fitz he was off to record a radio interview with an Underground rapper. This was a big night for the future of The Underground and things would forever change! Looking back I don't think any of us would know just how far we could take what started off as being a Community Radio Show from back in the early 2000's.

Ned and Herbz had been involved with Radio and their show “The Underground” was on air for years before eventually getting booted off for good (see About - The Early Days). The three would combine their skills and quickly stamp their name on the underground in Australia.

Ned to this day still works as a Production Manager at the local Commercial Radio Station, where podcasts get produced and phone interviews are made!

Fitz, a technical genius, with the knowledge and skills to basically do anything computer related quickly put together an amazing website and continues to deliver and amaze!

In August 2010 the first podcast would drop featuring “D-Loc” from The Kottonmouth Kings and Australia's number 1 “KidCrusher”! The response was amazing and the challenge had been set! One podcast a month, a chance to finally give Australia what it needed “recognition” in the Underground scene! September 2010 found us interviewing the world's greatest rapper “Tech N9ne” and another Australian great “The Urban Legend Of Syn”! The ball would continue to roll throughout 2010 and into 2011 with plenty of big names in the Underground joining us: Prozak, King Gordy, The R.O.C, Daddy X, Hopsin, SwizZz, Jared (Hed Pe), Ill Bill, Jimmy Donn, Bonez Dubb, Trips and Slaine!

Somewhere along the way we even found ourselves with a 4th member of the team! A man that can only be described as “truly insane”, the one and definitely only Couch Boy! This Smoke Out King has far too much time on his hands and now has his own segments; “Couch Boy's Favourite Things” and “Conspiracy Theories”. They need to be heard to be believed and then you probably still won't!

2011 also saw our first video interview for Underground TV catching up with Jared from Hed PE! Ill Bill would soon follow and later that year Hopsin and SwizZz! The Underground would continue to grow and expand into....

2012 and beyond (YouTube Era)

2012 sees a whole new era! The Underground goes “Youtube”!! Instead of a monthly podcast you can expect weekly videos at a minimum! Underground News once a week, Movies and Droogie time all on Youtube! Of course the podcasts will still come out from time to time, but Youtube is just a lot easier for people to access! Our radio interviews will still be available for download exclusively at our website and we look forward to expanding and becoming bigger and better!
